Build a bike-park spares list that actually fits your bike

A spare is useful when it fits the bike sitting in front of you. Build the list from your actual components, not from a generic “park essentials” bundle.
Start with the parts you already use
- Tyres and tubes: record each wheel's diameter and tyre width, your chosen casing/compound and valve requirements. Mixed-wheel bikes need separate front and rear notes.
- Brake pads: record each caliper code and the approved pad code/material. Use the caliper lookup workflow before filling the basket.
- Drivetrain spares: record the exact chain/drivetrain system and consult its manufacturer for compatible replacement parts. A shared speed count alone is not a compatibility check.
- Model-specific parts: photograph the label or part number for items such as a derailleur hanger. Check the frame manufacturer's parts documentation instead of choosing by appearance.

Keep workshop supplies and tools you already own out of the “savings” total. Check pack sizes: two low unit prices are not comparable if one listing is a single item and the other is a multipack.
Compare the whole order
Calculate both a one-shop basket and your shortlisted split-shop basket. Additional delivery charges can erase a cheaper line item. Do not add a part you do not need just to unlock a free-shipping threshold.
There is deliberately no “typical park basket price” here. A meaningful total depends on your exact bike, destination, quantities and current offers. Use the checklist to build your own, then confirm stock and delivery timing with the shops.
